William Lyon Mackenzie (1795-1861) was a Scottish-Canadian politician (Reform party, 1827 ' 1834, 1851 ' 1858), one of the leaders of the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion, and the first mayor of Toronto (1834). He had thirteen children, including Isobel Grace, mother of future Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. The William Lyon Mackenzie House is a Greek Revival house and the last residence of Mackenzie. It is now a museum run by the Municipality of Toronto.
