Henry Neville Gladstone (1852- 28 April 1935) was the son of William E. Gladstone (who was the Prime Minister of England four times and is considered one of the most famous politicians of the nineteenth century). Henry Neville entered the family business in India in 1874 and returned to England in 1889. A year later he married Maud Ernestine. Upon the death of his nephew in 1915 he was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Flintshire. His other achievements include Alderman of Flintshire County Council, Treasurer of the National Library of Wales, member of the Representative and Governing Bodies of the Church in Wales, and President of University College of North Wales (Bangor). In 1932 he was created Baron Gladstone of Hawarden.
