REPORT
Of the Minister of Justice upon the Statutes of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia passed during the Second Session of 1948.

Sir,—I have the honour by direction to enclose herewith dispatch PT/T (244),
dated 1st September, from the Acting Under-Secretary of State, transmitting a certified copy of Order in Council P.C. 4275 of the 24th August, approving the Acts of the
Legislative Assembly of British Columbia passed at the Second Session which commenced on the 7th day of July, 1948.

Sir,—I have the honour to transmit herewith a certified copy of Order in Council
P.C. 4275 of the 24th August, 1949, approving the Acts of the Legislative Assembly of
British Columbia passed at the Second Session of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia which commenced on the 7th day of July, 1948.
The report of the Minister of Justice referred to in the Order in Council is
attached thereto.

Government House, Victoria, B.C. L 2 REPORT ON ACTS.

Certified to be a True Copy of a Minute of a Meeting of the Committee of the
Privy Council, approved by His Excellency the Governor-General
on the 2Jfth August, 19^9.
The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report dated 18th
August, 1949, from the Minister of Justice, stating that, with the assistance of the
legal officers of his Department, he has examined the Statutes of the Province of
British Columbia, passed at the Second Session of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia, which commenced on the 7th day of July, 1948, and
received by the Secretary of State of Canada on the 28th day of August, 1948, and he
is of opinion that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The Committee concur in the foregoing and advise that a copy hereof, together
with a copy of the annexed report of the Minister of Justice, be transmitted to the
Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his Government.

The undersigned has the honour to report that, with the assistance of the legal
officers of his Department, he has examined the Statutes of the Province of British
Columbia, passed at the Second Session of the Legislative Assembly of the Province
of British Columbia, which commenced on the 7th day of July, 1948, and received by
the Secretary of State of Canada on the 28th day of August, 1948, and he is of opinion
that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The undersigned recommends that a copy of this report, if approved, be transmitted
to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his Government.
