REPORT
Of the Minister of Justice upon the Statutes of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia passed during the Session of 1945.

Sir,—I have the honour by direction to enclose herewith copy of dispatch No.
61/45, dated May 15th, 1946, concerning a certified copy of P.C. 1883 of the 10th May,
1946, approving the Statutes of the Province of British Columbia passed at the
Legislative Assembly of His Honour's Province which closed on the 28th March, 1945,
together with the enclosures referred to therein.

Sir,—I have the honour to enclose herewith a certified copy of P.C. 1883 of the
10th May, 1946, approving the Statutes of the Province of British Columbia, passed at
the last Session of the Legislative Assembly, which commenced on the 6th February,
1945, and closed on the 28th March, 1945. A copy of the report of the Minister of
Justice, referred to in the Order in Council, is also attached.

P.C.  1883.
Certified to be a True Copy of a Minute of a Meeting of the Committee of the
Privy Council, approved by His Excellency the Governor-General
on the 10th May, 1946.
The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report dated 2nd May,
1946, from the Minister of Justice, stating that, with the assistance of the legal officers
of his Department, he has examined the Statutes of the Province of British Columbia,
passed at the last Session of the Legislative Assembly, which commenced on the sixth
day of February, 1945, and closed on the twenty-eighth day of March, 1945, and
received by the Secretary of State on the thirteenth day of May, 1945, and that he is
of opinion that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The Committee concur in the foregoing and advise that a copy hereof, together
with a copy of the annexed report of the Minister of Justice be transmitted to the
Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his Government.

To His Excellency the Governor-General in Council:
The undersigned has the honour to report that, with the assistance of the legal
officers of his Department, he has examined the Statutes of the Province of British
Columbia, passed at the last Session of the Legislative Assembly, which commenced on
the sixth day of February, 1945, and closed on the twenty-eighth day of March, 1945,
and received by the Secretary of State on the thirteenth day of May, 1945, and he is of
opinion that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The undersigned recommends that a copy of this report, if approved, be transmitted to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his
Government.
