Of the Minister of Justice upon the Statutes of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia passed during the Session of 1944.

Sir,—I have the honour by direction to enclose herewith copy of a letter to-day
received from the Under-Secretary of State concerning Order in Council P.C. 2491,
approving the Statutes of the Province of British Columbia passed at the 1944 Session
of the Legislative Assembly, together with copies of the reports referred to therein.

SIR,—I have the honour to enclose herewith a certified copy of Order in Council,
P.C. 2491, of the 10th April, 1945, approving the Statutes of the Province of British
Columbia passed at the Session of the Legislative Assembly which commenced on the
1st February, 1944, and closed on the 15th March, 1944. A copy of the report of the
Minister of Justice referred to in the Order in Council is also attached.

Certified to be a True Copy of a Minute of a Meeting of the Committee of the
Privy Council, approved by His Excellency the Governor-General
on the 10th April, 1945.
The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report, dated 10th
April, 1945, from the Minister of Justice, stating that, with the assistance of the legal
officers of his Department, he has examined the Statutes of the Province of British
Columbia, passed at the last Session of the said Legislative Assembly which commenced
on the 1st day of February, 1944, and closed on the 15th day of March, 1944, and
received by the Secretary of State of Canada on the 11th day of April, 1944, and that
he is of opinion that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The Committee concur in the foregoing and, on the recommendation of the Minister
of Justice, advise that a copy hereof and of the attached report, if approved, be transmitted to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his
Government.
All of which is respectfully submitted for Your Excellency's approval.

To His Excellency the Governor-General in Council:
The undersigned has the honour to report that, with the assistance of the legal

Columbia passed at the last Session of the said Legislative Assembly, which commenced
on the 1st day of February, 1944, and closed on the 15th day of March, 1944, and
received by the Secretary of State of Canada on the 11th day of April, 1944, and he is
of opinion that these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The undersigned recommends that a copy of this report, if approved, be transmitted to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his
Government.
