REPORT
Of the Minister of Justice upon the Statutes of the Legislative Assembly of the
Province of British Columbia passed during the First Session of 1936.

Sir,—I have the honour, by direction, to forward to you herewith enclosed copy of a
dispatch dated the 12th of April, 1937, to-day received from the Under-Secretary of State,
Ottawa, together with the enclosures referred to therein.

Ottawa, April 12th, 1937.
Sir,—I have the honour to transmit to you herewith a certified copy of Order in Council
P.C. 775, dated the 10th of April, 1937, approving the Statutes of the Province of British
Columbia passed in the year 1936.
A copy of the report of the Minister of Justice referred to in the Order in Council is also
enclosed.

The Honourable the Administrator of the Government of
the Province of British Columbia,
Victoria, B.C. P.C. 775.
Certified to be a True Copy of a Minute of a Meeting of the Committee of the
Privy Council, approved by His Excellency the Governor-General
on the 10th April, 1937.
The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report, dated 6th April,
1937, from the Minister of Justice, stating that he has examined the Statutes of the Province
of British Columbia passed in the First Session held in the year 1936, and received by the
Secretary of State of Canada on the 20th April, 1936, and that he is of the opinion that these
Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The Committee concur, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, advise that
a copy hereof and of the attached report, if approved, be transmitted to the Lieutenant-
Governor of British Columbia for the information of his Government.
All of which is respectfully submitted for Your Excellency's approval.

The undersigned has the honour to report that he has examined the Statutes of the
Province of British Columbia passed in the First Session held in the year 1936, and received
by the Secretary of State of Canada on the 20th April, 1936, and he is of the opinion that
these Statutes may be left to such operation as they may have.
The undersigned recommends that a copy of this report, if approved, be transmitted to
the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia for the information of his Government.

Council P.C. 3052, dated the 10th of December, 1937, approving the Statutes of the Province
of British Columbia passed in the Second Session held in the year 1936.
A copy of the report of the Minister of Justice, referred to in the Order in Council, is
also enclosed.
