 39 Vic. Report of Select Committee on Victoria Police. 727
REPORT OF SELECT COMMITTEE
To confer with a Deputation from the Corporation of the City of Victoria.
The Committee appointed by this House to confer with a Deputation from the
Corporation of Victoria, beg leave to report:—
That such Conference was held on the 2nd day of May, instant, whereat it was
recommended that a Board should be established to appoint and control the Police for
the City of Victoria, which Board should consist of the Provincial Secretary, the Mayor
or Warden, and the Senior Justice of the Peace resident in the District.
Dated the 4th day of May, 1876.
