To an Order of the Legislature for a return of the copy of the securities stated by the
Hon. the Provincial Secretary to have been deposited with the Government on
the 10th January, 1891, and regularly renewed, for the faithful performance of
the duties of Official Administrators of Intestate Estates—vide Journals of B. C.
House of Assembly, 1895, page 87.

Know all men by these Presents that we, Joseph Prhys Planta, of the City of Nanaimo,
in British Columbia, Official Administrator in and for the Nanaimo County Court District,
and Thomas Hirst, of the said City of Nanaimo, Merchant, are held and firmly bound to Our
Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her heirs and successors, in the sum of two thousand dollars each,
that is to say, the said Joseph Prhys Planta in the sum of two thousand dollars, and the said
Thomas Hirst in the sum of two thousand dollars, of lawful money of Canada, respectively, to
be paid to Our Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her heirs and successors, for which payments to be
well and truly made we bind ourselves, severally and respectively, and each of us, his heirs,
executors and administrators firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this
tenth of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Joseph Prhys Planta,
his heirs or administrators, shall well and faithfully account for and pay over in such manner as
the Lieutenant-Governor in Council shall from time to time appoint, and at such intervals as the
Minister of Finance shall direct, to the officer in charge of the Provincial Treasury, or to such
person as may be authorised to receive the same, all such sum and sums of money as shall be
received by him as Official Administrator as aforesaid, or which shall come into his possession
or control by virtue of his said office or employment as Official Administrator as aforesaid, and
shall and will well and faithfully perform the duties of his office from the date of this obligation, and during the time he holds such office of Official Administrator as aforesaid, then this
obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
