RETURN To an Address of the Legislative Assembly, praying for copies of all correspondence (if any) which has taken place between the Government and the Commission appointed to enquire into the truth of the allegations of the Members for Kootenay:--"That the leader of the Government had, through his Kootenay Agents or otherwise, and alone or in connection with any other Members of the House" (of Assembly) "virtually endeavoured to influence the representatives or electors of the district by offering him, Mr. Gallagher, $1,000 and the Government constableship, filled by George A. Kelly, worth $1,400 a year and, inside of three months, the best position in the gift of the Government." Also, copies of all correspondence which has taken place between the Commission and Mr. Elliott in regard to the enquiry.
