Speaking of the causes underlying what may bo almost called a real estate revolution in this sec.1 ion. I
might say tlint the process has been one ol* anylhing lint. art.ilicial inllation. True, the revolution has come
with comparative suddenness, but this is duo the progressive policy of The Crow's Nest Pass Coal'Company, to
which it is indebted ,1'or such a powerful impulse. ,
T,he company's expenditures in this section's interest are now counted by-tho million instead of hy the
dollar. This i.s an era of great development, in the Crow's Nest;> fuss1, -The marvel is not thai the. stiiniiius'is
here', b'i:4 that it wils delayed so long. The rise i.s .substantial, anil there is noi ,the'lea.st likelihood of anything
tii-tho-tiatiire of'-a.relapse. ,. ^ .__ . . . ,. ' l , , .
Ou the-contrary, developments will proceed and values will ascend iii an accelerating ratio. ° •
There, can be no more significant sign of the coming prosperity in the Crow's Nest Pass, than the plans
which the..coal company lire now putting into elVect for greater development of their properties, ,and the enormous demand tor the product,of their mines and coke ovens. ' . °
As the population increased in Pennsylvania with the development of the groat coal properties there, so
will it increase in the Crow's Nest Pass
Only those who have watched the. development 'of the coal .and .coke industries in other sections, ca.n
grasp the certainties of a future not" I'ar'off, and are taking advantage of the conditions hero hy investing at the
right time in the right place. ' .
