Spokane, April (j���A deal of  considerable importance is now  pending on the East Kootenay  Copper Mining Company's property, located on Black- Curranl  creek, a tributary of the St.  Mary's river, in fhe Fort'"Steele  'mining; district. Tho company  is composed of Spokane mining"  men, and Nalhanicl Coleman and  Bern hard Reed have gone east to  close the pending deal.  TL' everything is carried out  without, a hitch. Ihe East Kootenay-mine will ho oquipod with  machinery Ihis'summor, and will  be in shape to ship ore. ft is  expected to purchase pall the  machinery necessary to develop  the properly and to start a large  crew of men lb work.     ��  The. property , is.,loen'led in a  good neighborhood, and is surrounded by a number of good  mines. The ore body on East  Koolenay is three feet wide, with  a.six inch payslroak that will  average ��!-IO lo ��l!)0 lo the Ion.  The ore carries these values in  gray copper. The tunnel lliat  will develop the mine will give a  depth on the vein of -100 feet.  ��� The East Koolenay was loca-  led in 1807 and is situated one  mile easl of tho Pyramid group. The feature of a speech by ."Joe  Martin in favor of Asiatic exclusion measure, was a deliberate and specific personal attack  upon Senator Templeman.  "That gentleman."
