Stock Re-Subscribed and 20-Stamp Mill to be put in. On the return of the party of Michigan investors to Nelson after their visit to Camborne, they held a meeting which is,reported to have been a stormy one. The reports that reached here are to the effect that the Mines Exchange had a bond on the property for $150,000 on which' $5000 was paid. The Mines Exchange rcbonded' the property to a new company organized by Mr. HgsQiibcrger, known as the Calumet and British Columbia Goldfields, for $250,000, but no money was to be paid over till Uie Michigan gentlemen comprising the directorate examined the property. The amount ' underwritten , by Michigan, and Nel?on men in the new company was 100,000 shares at par,55,000 of which was held by the Michigan men and, the balance in Xclfon. Mr. Brock, manager of the Northwestern, and who has large influence in the copper camp, where he is well' known, is reported to have taken the stand that in having a rake-off of $100,000 the Mines Exchange was- selling at a price that was not warranted, and he advised his friends in the underwriters accordingly. These gentlemen arc said to have taken (he everything is being made to hum'. A new five drill compressor had been installed and is greatly facilitating work.' - The company has made preparations to work the property on a large scale during the winter. The tram.way on the Silver Cup is near completion. ' A rich strike was made b}- J. This the Mine? Exchange refused tp agree to and called on the Michigan men tq,fulfil their contract or. abandon their f-hiire?. ' Only two 'out of fifteen attended .the meeting, The stock of tlie defaulters was forfeited f.lid JS,-|60 of, the under-written shaves were .subscribed for by next day in Nelson,' The new company is stated now to.,1)0 IN A HHTTKK POSITION THAN KYEIl. The ' directors have decided to place on the market 100.000 shares at $1.00, and to put in an air compressor -and , 20-stamp , - mill. A depth',of over 800 feet'has been attained upon the vein, and the latest report received upon 'it by the'company gave the ore tonnage blocked out at 34.2G6 tons, of an estimated aggregate value of $324.- 10S. *' THE OrSTER , CRITERION.
