NEW BUILDINGS. The City Schools. The plans of the city schools, which it in proposed to build in brink, are on exhibition id the school house null aie ai tract ing intention of 'contractors. The plans have been prepared by ,1. 15. Henderson, architect of (Irnnd Forks, and'are most creditable to him. The design is neat and substantial, and the edifice will, when completed, form one'of the finest, if not thr: finest all- round school building iii, tlio province. The building has a frontage of 91 feet by >i depth of 52 feet, and an elevation oi 82 feet from basi-nicnl to top '.,f tower. ' -The building cons-isls of n basement and two. storeys, and contains four class-rooms each on the ground aiid first Moors. These class-rooms are each 23 feet, by'33 feet. A hall 21 feet in width runs though the center of the building on both floors, and from .the first floor separate slairwiys are provided for boys and girls. Thc sanitary arrangements are the, best we have seen devised for, school use, opening oil' each room, and so fitted as to secure the utmost cleanliness. Special attention is given ' to lighting and ventilation. The basement w 11 havotwo'funitiees and at, each end will be a play room for the children in,'; wet or cold weather.. One room can be aside for boys and another for girls. Here the children who have too fur io,go home can also provide themselves with, hot lunch.
