The suit involves a claim' for extras,  balance on straight contract and general damages for alleged loss, of time  and profits. Kennerly Bryan, Northwest Trust Bldg., was the archt. for  the bldg.    ,  SAANICH COUNCIL DISCUSS  THREE  MONEY BY-LAWS  Municipal Works, Saanich���������No, definite action was taken at a special  meeting of the Saanich Council on the  three, money by-laws which are expected to be voted on by the ratepayers at an early date. These "are  for the raising of funds for the installation of a water system, to finance  the: paving, enterprise.-and^to-increase  the educational facilities of the district. The announcement was made  that the city had not yet prepared the  details of the contemplated agreement  for the purchase of water by Saanich  from Victoria. ENGINEER   MAKES   REPORT  ON CHINA CREEK-SEWERS  -% Sewers, Vancouver���������At a meeting of  the Vancouver and District Joint Sewerage Board1 yesterday, the board engineer reported that he had been able  to construct the China and Canoe  Creek sewers up7 to August, ?2500.00  cheaper than the lowest tender that  was submitted for the work.  ' The Balaclava sewer was discussed, but nothing will be done with this  for at' least a couple of .weeks;  ALL TENDERS REJECTED  FOR STANLEY PARK PAVING  At a meeting of the Park Board tenders were opened for paving Stanley  Park roads and the board decided to  do the work by day labor. It was  decided to put in culverts in place of  the wooden bridge. The cost of  the work will be about $4,500.
