Seven firms tendered on the work,  the lowest being the Can. Ferro Concrete Co., $64,632. The next lowest  was Robt. McLean & Co., $65,550.  Tenders were closed and opened  July 28th, and the committee recommended to the board that the contract  be, awarded to the Can. Ferro Concrete Co., low tenderers, but at a  meeting, of the board yesterday an  objection was raised and the contract  was let to McDonald & Wilson.  Note.���������Owing to a typographical error in reporting the list*of tenders, F.  T. Sherbourne's tenders should have  read: (A) 71, 522.30, (B) 71, 522.30,  (C) $67,147, (D) $70,247. The Can.
