This contract will jncludo everything  except the machinery, and figures for  that portion are to he received until  Oct. 1. o. *  The B. C. .Granitoid & Contr. Co., 48  Exchange bldg, who have the contract  for dredging for the drydock, shipw'ays,  marine railway, and foundations for ten  buildings, will proceed with their work  at once. The first portion of the project to be "built will be the machine  shops, to which the Mainland Iron  Wks, of Vancouver will move their  plant. The next unit will be the const,  of two marine railway bldgs and two  concrete wharfs to supply tlie idon  works with material.  The site comprises 140 acres with a  water frontage of 1,520 feet, in D. L.  272. Sanitary Conveniences, Vancouver^���������  The city council at their last meeting passed a resolution' to call for  tenders for the construction of four  underground sanitary conveniences to  be erected on Georgia St., Fourth  Ave. and Granville and Kingsway  and Main St.  Brewery, Fort George���������Plan's have  been completed by Archts. Wilson &  >Vilson, 532 Granville st, of Vancouver, and contractors can now tender  for the erection of a mill construction  brewery bldg to be erected at Fort  George for the Peace River Malting  & Brewing Co., Ltd., of Fort George  to cost about $75,000.  It is said that several Vancouver  parties are interested in the venture,  but these names are withheld from  publication. However, contractors who  desire to figure the job can get in  touch with these parties, from whom  plans can be obtained, through the  office of the architects in Vancouver.  The bldg. will be mill construction,  with cement plaster finish. There will  be a complete equipment of machinery; corrugated iron roof and work  is to commence as quickly as a contract is let, so that the structure can  be finished by September, if possible.  The structure will be apportioned so  that one section of the bldg is 5 -sto  in height, another section 3-sto and  still another section only 2-sto in  height.
