Piers, -Victoria���������It is announced from  Ottawa that the Dominion government  has extended the date for receiving contract tenders on the two proposed govt.  Victoria piers until Jan. S.  Tenders were to have been closed at  Ottawa at 4 p.m. on Dec. 9. The authorities'gave another month to figure  on the work, at the request of a large  number of firms which wished to tender  but wanted more time to go into the  various details.
