Perry & Fowler, Pacific bldg., the Dept.  of Public Works, at Ottawa, is receiving  proposals until 4 p.m. Jan. 5, for the purchase of the bldgs. now occupying the  site, bounded by Park Drive, William,  Cotton and Charles sts.  The bldgs. must be moved away within 60 days from notification by the dept.  The proposed armory bldg. will cost  about $350,000.  -���������Piers, Victoria���������It is announced from  Ottawa that the Dominion government  has extended the date "for receiving contract tenders on the two proposed -govt.  Victoria piers until Jan., 8.  Tenders were to have been closed at  Ottawa at 4 p.m. ��������� on Dec. 9. -The authorities gave another month to figure  on the work, at ther.request of a large  number of firms whioh wished to tender  but wanted more time, to go into the  various details.  The two piers, const, details of which  havo appeared previously in the Building ��������� Record, will be of reinf. concrete,  with a solid fill, embracing four slips,  to cost about $750,000 each.
