VANCOUVER COUNCIL  WILL DISCUSS WHARVES  ���������Wharves, Fraser River���������The entire  council of South Vancouver will meet  the North Arm Harbor Commissioners  with a view of going over the ground  and deciding the location for the three  proposed wharves which are contemplated on -* the Fraser River. . , It is  thought that the money provided for  these may possibly only erect two  structures.  WORK HAS STARTED ON  PRINCE RUPERT DRYDOCK  Drydock, Prince Rupert, B. C.���������The  first of the twelve pontoons for the  proposed $3,000,000 drydock scheme, to  be erected at Prince Rupert, was  launched recently by the Grand Trunk  Dock & Ship Repair Co., contrs. for  the work. SOUTH VANCOUVER PAVING  BY-LAW PASSES COUNCIL  Paving, South Vancouver���������At the  last meeting of the South Vancouver  council the Victoria Road paving bylaw was passed. Opposition was raised  by Councillor Winram that the financial end should be completed before  the by-law passed.  WILL ASK $75,000 FOR  NORMAL SCHOOL ADDITION  Normal, Bellingham, Wn.���������An appropriation of $75,000 will be asked, of the  state legislature this coming winter  for a new dormitory for the Bellingham State, Normal schoql, according to  "a decision reached by the board of  regents of the local institution.  Tt is the proposed plan to have the  dormitory consist of about sixty rooms.  The building will be constructed along  modern and up-to-date dormitory lines  with proper accommodations for girl  students.  NEW COMPANIES ARE  REPORTED INCORPORATED  In the last issue of the B. C. Gazette  it is reported that certificates of incorporation have been granted the fol-  lowinfe companies:  The A. B. Cushing Lumber Co.
