The board are approaching the government to grade the grounds, but a reply to this -request has not yet been received. POSTPONE CONTRACT FOR CALGARY UNIVERSITY BLDG. A contract has already been let for the proposed Calgary University bldg, but the -financial outlook /combined with the city's determination to economize on the matter of grants, etc., will postpone the beginning of operations till next spring at least. Sanderson & Porter, of New York, financiers and builders of hydro electric plants recently, made a proposal to the city of Edmonton to furnish the city with electric power. The proprosed plant would be erected at Moose River, B.'C.'ln the Yellowstone Pass of the Rockies. Its minimum capacity would be 300,000,000 K.W.H. transmitted by cable to Edmonton.
