GeorgeThe British Columbia Government has announced its "decision to build a traffic bridge across the'Nechaco River.at Fraser Avenue, Fort George, to connect with the government highway to the Peace River district and Stuart Lake country. This trade and traffic will of itself make a large city. Municipal Work, VancouverOwing to the existing war situation it is possible that municipal work in Vancouver will be considerably curtailed for some time.t It is understood that the city's bank has Requested that only the very necessary work, or that for which there' are funds on hand, be undertaken until the situation clears up. This will most likely result in delaying the erection of the proposed Coal Harbor causeway, the C. P. R. district paving, for which tenders are now being invited, and' considerable other large work. Wherever possible, it is highly probable that the city will now cut down expenses.
