' It sometimes happens that an engine which runs'all right when it is comparatively cold shows a decided loss of compression after, it has become heated. This is probably, due to the fact that the valve stems expand with the heat and do not permit the valves to seat properly. The much-abused cutout has one positive virtue, ifno other—itP may be used for determining the condition of the fuel mixture. By running the engine after dark and throwing on the \ . . '■' cutout the flame that issues therefrom <?- -- will tell exactly the condition of the mixture.' If the flame is blue or color- A . - — less,, the mixture is correct, whereas a red flame indicates an excess of gasoline, and a yellow flame'the presence of too much air.- kv; Davie Vulcanizing Company Tire Repairs Auto Repairs Phone Seymour',, 184 - 636 DAVIE ST.
