During the past fiscal year ended June 30, the company spent approximately $1,000,000 for improvements. In the current, fiscal period probably a larger amount will be spent in carrying to fruition plans now under consideration. Granby has acquired a high grade coal property, the seam of which shows 20,000,000 tons of high, grade cooking coal. Engineers have left for this new property to superintend the. new by-products plant to be built, and which it .Is planned, shall supply all the company's cooking needs at a low. cost, leaving a substantial tonnage of this material for sale in the open market. Between $1,250,000. and $1,500,000 will be spent in developing and bringing to a productive stage the new coal and coke property. Did you ever notice that 95 per cent, of the big successful firms are firms who advertise? They figure advertising as an investment not an expense. The secret of advertising is the selection of a medium which,, reaches those people who are or vvil j be the most likely "purchasers o vour product." If you are in tho build ing supply or machinery nue don't st lect a. moving picture publication ii which to do "your advertising. Because of the fact that the RECORD is f.he only paper published in the province devoted exclusively to the contracting business it is read by practically every cue you would like to sell your products to.
