Don't starve your battery and expect it to do good work. fhe little Tungar is just what you need. Start your charge and leave it over night—the rectifier will do the rest. Operates from any lighting circuit from no to I20 volts. Ask us to demonstrate The Tungar Rectifier developed by the Research Laboratory of the General Electric Company simplifies small-battery charging. It is designed to change the alternating current, found in most residence garages, into direct current which.is required to charge a storage battery. The TUNGAR will g)vo a'-starting battery sufficient charge overnight to be assured a starting capacity the next morning, even though the battery be entirely exhausted. The discovery that has made tlie . TUNGAR possible is really embraced in the small bulb tn which the process of changing the alternating current to direct current takes place. This bulb closely resembles an incandescent lamp. It is filled with an inert, gas and contains a tungsten filament and an "anode" of graphite. , The bulb is mounted In a black japanned casing with a perforated top. This casing contains a compensator which reduces the alternating voltage without using wasteful resistance, and also excites the filament in the bulb. In addition, the casing contains a fuse to protect against the reversal of the battery and other overloads. \ Canadian General Electric Co. What is the Final Answer to this Truck Question!? _ ISN'T IT UPKEEP—cost of operation, repairs- and replacements—tires in-. V eluded—from year to year? < WELL THEN, if that is the case^what justification is there for a truck^of no greater capacity and costing several hundred dollars more in the first instance, unless that truck can, after years of use, prove that its upkeep is sufficiently less to offset the difference in first cost? THAT IS THE THEORY on which most buyers act when they pay $1600 to $2000 for a truck rated at 1500 pounds normal load. HAVE YOU EVER investigated this matter to see if such trucks prove up on that basis? Well you ought. THERE ARE SOME SURPRISES in store for those who do so. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS we cannot publish figures ,— because business ethics forbid us to publish names of competitors. BUT ANY REO DEALER can show you comparative data, kept by big concerns, of this 1500-pound Reo doing the same work, side by side with others of well known makes costing 50% to 100% more—and in every case the Reos show lower upkeep cost! SO, WHILE THE REO IS PAYING back, in efficiency and economy, its total first cost, the other isn't even making good on its promise to pay back the difference. HOW CAN WE REO FOLKS make a truck of this quality and sell it at this price? SUMMED UP IN A FEW WORDS it« is this: The Reo product has been standardized for longer and it was the result of riper experience to begin with. • ADD TO THAT our superior manufacturing facilities and our cash purchasing power and you have the reasons for our lower factory cost AND THE OVER DEMAND which Reos always enjoy cuts our selling cost down to a percentage that is the marvel and the envy of the industry. ITS ADAPTABILITY is practically limitless. CONTRACTORS, Coal dealers, Builders supply houses, Furniture dealers, Grocery, Fruits— BUT WHY TRY TO ENUMERATE? There seems to be no limits to its adaptability. GASOLINE consumption is commonly reported by users as averaging 10 to 12 miles per gallon—depending on number of stops when motor is running and using gasoline, but speedometer isn't recording. AND TIRE MILEAGE—due to the sturdy construction of the chassis and wheels, (a flimsy car is hard on tires, you know) is also a revelation to owners. BECAUSE OF THE OVER DEMAND it is necessary that you order now if you'd have a reasonably early delivery. Today won't be a minute too soon. REO MOTOR CAR AGENCY, Limited 1378 GRANVILLE ST.
