Rob-,  inson, of Kamloops, are the incorpor-,  ators of the Pacific  Shipbuilding Co., j  Ltd., which has been formed under a  Federal charter to engage in the building of wooden vessels for the Imperial  Munitions Board.  The new company will have a capital stock of $50,000, divided into 500  shares of $100 each, the head-offices  of the company to be located 'at Vancouver. Land for the site of the new  shipyards has been acquired on the  south bank of the Fraser River, opposite the city of New Westminster, and  preliminary operations have 'already  been started to prepare the ground  for the construction of ways and the  installation of machinery. J. C.  Shields and J. T. An item in the Land Department appropriations is that for $20,000 for
"timber testing and investigation of
wood products." .An indication that,the
government intends to continue seeking
overseas markets for the B. C. lumber
trade is that another $50,000 is appropriated for salcries, travelling expenses,
and purchase of material.
