The construction of a tramway from the Sovereign mine to a point above Sandon is talked of, says the Kaslo Kootenaian. Overtures have been made by the Cunningham interests to the Ruth Mines, Ltd., for a lease of the. Ruth mill, presumably for the milling of the Wonderful and Sovereign, ores. Extensive prospecting is in progress in the Kaslo section, where miners are eagerly searching for manganese: Mi^ch ore is being found over an area extending as far as eight miles from the original Curie- Larson property.' Some of it is low grade and some is said to be good. Locations are being made on the Archer ranch and also almost up to the town limits of Kaslo. It is the intention of the Sitting Bull Mining Co. of Seattle to increase the work of previous years on their, properties situated on Boulder Creek at a point west of Wilmer, in the Selkirk Range. Description | The British Columbia Record was published in Vancouver, and ran from June 1916 to July 1922. The Record was published every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. As the official publication for the Architectural Institute of B.C., the B.C. Builders’ Exchange, and the Building and Construction Industries’ Exchange of B.C., the Record primarily covered news related to building, contracting, engineering, real estate, and industrial finance. The Record was published by the Record Publishing Company, which had previously published the paper under a number of different titles, including the Daily Building Record and the British Columbia Building Record. The Record subsequently evolved into the Journal of Commerce. |
