It was found, however, on breaking through the first stoping that a large quantity of water had gathered in the stope, and further progress was j barred. Pumps will be started immediately, but it is estimated that it will take three weeks to pump the water; out. Apart from the water, all the other conditions are favorable, and Manager Freeman is very hopeful that as soon as the water is pumped out he will be able to resume operations. 45SS 2993 !5041 -1523 S747 .....Sey. 5754 .Sev. 1615 ......Sey.' 3927 .Sey. -45S7 .Sey. Chairman Hurley, of the Shipping Beard telegraphed the builders of the 5,000-ton concrete vessel which was launched on the Pacific Coast recently to report immediately what were the prospects for laying down additional hulls and what time would be required An early test of the new ship was requested to settle questions as to her strength and behavior in a heavy sea. A report of the launching said that the belief had been strengthened that concrete could be depended upon. E. A. BAILEY Plumbing and Steamfitting 1033 GranvfllcB St. Phone Sey. 136 Vancouver, B. C.
