Marvin McDaniel says he will be shipping ore in a week or two from the Mountain Chief at llenata to the smelter-at Trail. Emerald, of Salmo, is on the local ore receipt list once more. This rich property, which has been quietly paying'dividends for some time past, has sent, 485 tons to Trail in 1978. ' In the Alberni Canal region, Samuel Ryder, of St. Albans, England, has just installed new bunkers and a compressor plant at the old Monitor mine, which -sold three years ago for taxes. A big body or ore is blocked out there it is claimed. Ore shipments to the Trail smelter for the week ending July 6. were 4939 tops as compared with 6510 tons for the previous week.
