C—A proposal from the Aetna Iron and Steel Company, to shift its rolling mill plant from its present location to a site on Rocky Point, on the water front was contained in a letter to the Mayor and council of Port Moody. NORTH VANCOUVER—The annual report of- acting city engineer A. R. Clucas for 1917, has been submitted to the city council. It gives a comprehen-- sive review of the year's work, but owing to the limited finances at the disposal of the board of works and waterworks department very little new work was accomplished. The only new work of. consequence carried out last year was the-macadamizing, of Keith, road from Bewicke avenue to the city limits. ■ In connection-with waterworks^ xi - the:. Engineer regretted that a very serious ' problem in • connection with water conservation and purification de veloped this year. He feared that although the government had taken steps to safeguard the purity that nothing ! would be done to prevent the water- | shed lands of Lynn Creek becoming de- | pleted of its timber as a result of log- Iging operations which were proposed by Messrs. Cedars, Ltd. places of residence. In the case of firms, the actual signature, the nature of the occupation, and place of residence of each member of the firm must be given.
