CLAYBURN — Possibly the most damage during the recent flood was caused by the landslide which occurred on the Clayburn Company's private railway operating from the brickyards to the mines. The point of the slide is just east of the first big trestle and about a mile from the village. Here a whole section of the hill came tumbling, bringing down tons of earth, big maple trees and other debris. Two hundred feet of the railway was carried away, which lias severed connection between the yards and the mines and shut off tlie supplies of the raw clay material. This break in the lines has not been repaired. Allis-Chalmers Ltd.
