The more J practical minded among the local architects and contractors have pointed out that to build a combined auditorium to seat anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000, and a city hall big enough to! afford adequate facilities for the city's business, would take more than the $750,000 which is provided for in the bylaw. In view of the fact that it is proposed to locate the projected Victory Hall on the block now "occupied by the Central School, it is also pointed out that it would perhaps cost one- third of the sum named: to clear the present' school buildings off the block and get the site ready for the commencement of work on the new building. Description | The British Columbia Record was published in Vancouver, and ran from June 1916 to July 1922. The Record was published every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
