John  j Oliver,   which   releases   the   contrac-  i tors, Messrs. Foley, Welsh & Stewart,  from their obligation to complete the  Pacific Great Eastern railway in Brit-  I ish Columbia, the provincial minister  I of railways declared that the govern-  I ment will carry out the original plans  I as soon as labor and material are obtained.   He stated that the completion  of the line will probably take two or  three years more on account of the  difficulty of obtaining funds and necessary labor.    In addition to the trackage  already   laid,   he  said   there  are  about 60 miles of rails on the ground  ready to be put in place.  At the invitation of Mr. Oliver, P.  Welsh, a member of the contracting  firm, will go to Victoria to consult  and advise with officials of the province in regard to the completion of  the line, and on other matters connected with the big enterprise. Mr.  Welsh was present at the meeting at  which the agreement was signed.  TENDERS FOR  SUPPLIES.
