Tncluded in the works and  buildings to be constructed by the Pud-  lic Works Department are the following; Okalla prison farm, $15,000;  improvement of government reserve,  Burnaby, ?10,000; mental hospital and  colony farm, Essondale, ?35,000; provincial government buildings, London (completion and maintenance), $175,000;  maintenance, $8,000. The appropriations  provincial noimal school, Vancouver.  for roads, streets, btldges and wharves  in each constituency are the same us  last year. Chillis'tck gets $33,300;  Delta, $22,500. Dewdney, ?'J8,500, and  Richmond $'0,000. Kis.hty thousand is  revoted for Kingsway through the Municipality of Buinaby. Point Grey.gets  $10,000 for loads, and Xiconieri Island  the same amount tor dvking; $13,500 is a  subsidy for tlie Ladnei-Woodward ferry. The concern,  which will be knpwn as the Union  Fisheries & Cold Storage Company  will be unique in this respect that  many of the employees will have a  financial interest in it. Already a contract has been let for the laying down  of the first plant, which will be located  at Clayoquot, on the West Coast of  Vancouver Island.
