Sloan & Harrison the other tenderers, quoted $650. It was decided to move No. 2 rather than No. 15, as at first proposed, for several reasons. One is, No. 5 hall may be required later on in its present location, but whatever happens No. 2 will never be wanted there again, and in any case would have to be pulled down. It would also be/more expensive to move No. 5, costing about $150 for cutting cables alone. ;,Otta,wa-r-An important judgment handed ,dow'n;rby the Board of Railway Commissioners; provides for a 15 per cent .increase-::in.^passenger rates in all parts^pf^Canada^^with exception of British[Columbia, where-.the minimum rate now; iS;3 cents. armfle^TThe judgment also permits* subject to^the limitations of the Crow's Nest ;:agreement and certain specific limitations, van-in; crease in freight rates/]of Wapproxlm-'■ ately 10 per cent, in the West arid.15 percent, in the Easti.
