HYDRO-ELECTRIC   PLANT  -In connection with the erection of  several cottages and the extension of  the water system and other improvements at Squamish, it is rumored that  che Government may provide for a  hydro-electric plant, which is now considered a necessity in tne town.  MUNICIPAL  SWIMMING   BATH  IS PROPOSED FOR OAK BAY  Victoria.—A municipal swimming  bath, financed by profits made on investments in Victory bonds, was the  project considered by the Oak Ray  council at its meeting Tuesday night.  Partial plans have already been prepared and show the bath to be 100 by  75   feet  in   size.     It  is   estimated   the  CORRECTION  Mr, Thonias Carson, 4592 St.  Catherines Street, is the ^ contractor  who was awarded" the contract for the  construction of twelve cottages at  Squamish, and not Thomas Caron, as  published in our issue of December 16.
