SEY. 9217 CONTRACT FOR MILK CONDENSORY AWARDED ABBOTSFORD—Messrs. Sloan & Harrison, of New Westminster, have been awarded the contract for the erection of the main factory building of the new condensory plant to he erected at Del-air station by the Fraser Valley 'Milk Producers Association. The main factory building is to he heavy mill frame construction on a concrete foundation, with cement floors and every equipment for the sanitary and economical handling of milk. Messrs. Sloan & Harrison intend to lose no time in carrying out their portion of the contract which comprises the erection of the factory proper as well as the boiler-house and several smaller outbuildings. They have already commenced work on the excavation for the foundation and are assembling material for the building. Manager, E. G. Sherwood of the Fraser Valley Milk Pfoducers Association, stated to The Record that while the contract for the factory and outbuildings will amount to about $50,000, the complete plant and condensing machinery and equipment will represent close to $150,000. The main factory building which is to be erected on an excellent site recently secured at DeLair station about one mile from Abbotsford, will be 60 by 160 feet in size.
