PRESBYTERIANS   PLAN  ADDITION TO CHURCH  The congregation of the Robertson  Presbyterian church, at a meeting  Wednesday night, decided to erect an  addition to the church in order to increase, its seating capacity and provide for. class rooms. .Tentative plans  prepared by Robt. Harvie. chairman  of the board of managers, were submitted to the meeting, which showed  that the proposed addition would cost  between §5,000 and 56,000. Methods  have  been now developed  TO    REBUILD    BURNED   CANNERY  VICTORIA—Announcement is made  by J. H. Todd, president of the cannery firm, of .7. H. Todd & Sons, owners of the Inverness cannery, Skeena  River, which was completely destroy-  ed by fire last Sunday morning, that  the cannery will be rebuilt at once. UNIVERSITY  VICTORIA—Following the promise  made by the government to provide  finances for the erection.of new, build-'  (ings for the University, of British  Columbia this year, Hon. John Hart,  Finance Minister, introduces a bill in  the house on Tuesday to provide for  the borrowing of $3,000,000. This  sum. is to be used in-the erection of  the first unit of the university buildings as well as the establishment of  a residential district adjoining; the  university site proper. - This district  will be laid out and opened up along  somewhat the same lines as the  C. P. R. adopted in connection with  the Shaughnessy Heights district -in  Vancouver, and, the sale of these improved lots is expected to more than  redeem the $3,000,000 loan.
