Copper Cu's smelter is progressing rapidly. The foundations "for the  machinery are in, and the work on the  convey.ing belts, bins, etc., is being  ru.*htd.  The flue rlust wili be taken, into a  pa.������ss;.i gt -w���������1 y besi; e the flue and dumped into the boot of a bucket elevator  which will .arry it to the dust bin a-  hove. From this bin th<? dust will be  fed into the briquetti g m ehir e.  The finished briquetts will bedischarg-  ed onto a long conveying belt. This  belt runs slowly over the flue which  has been uncovered so as to give off as  much heat as possible to aid in drying  the briquett-. When these briquetts  reach the end of tlie belt they are  dumped automatically into an ore bug-  at Present at the Local Smelt-  the machinery.  gy and are ready for the furnace.  -Dryfng racks will be btfilt along the  side of this belt to receive briquetts  that will no? do* suffipiehtly in passing  over the conveyer.  A lime bin will b> built along side of  the dust bin. From >his lime can be  mixed with dust or concentrates that  do not bind properly .without it.-' The  lime bin will be con tie ted With the  railway by a runway.
