A large body of magnetic iron ore has been struck oh the Primrose, one the Mother Lode group, by the diamond drill. Several peices of the core are almost solid pyrites, and all venr well mineralized.. The drill was started in from the bottom of the old shaft some time ago: Although a lng distance has been passed through it still continues in ore at the present writing. This is one of the biggest finds of the season. Enormous qua* tities of ore are in sight in the Mother Lode quarries, and the new find furnishes large amounts of the necessary iron flux. The addition to the residence of Mr. Caron,o:i the West Sie,is being painted J* T? cgreesing on the Lawrence. t The St.Lawrence is being worked by Mr. Chas. Petersor. It is on lie lime kiln road and &s situated a short distance above the meeting of this road and the old No. 7 trail. The shaft is down about forty feet, and is in ere a good part of the way. The lead is well defined and is about eight inches thit.k on the average The ore is a mixture of heavy iron pyrites and copper bearing pyrrhotite. It als contains pyrargyrite, or ruby silver. _ .. This'contains nearly sixty per cent of silver. Several tons of stlect ore are on the dump. A car of copper was shipped toda> from the local melter. Jti getting- h^~ s-'ag-e.
