Jl NE  L 1904.  5 c. per M���������������������:��������� th  f  iM  I ������ai      1  low Anaconda-  A large and very destructive forest  fire started on Sunday about noon from  an unknown cause near the old No. 7  siding.  Between Anaconda and Boundarj-  Falls the woods were mainly compostci  of small, scrubby pine and fir. Mary  of these were killed by smelter <*mokt  and others blown over by the heavy  storms last year. The falien ones form  ed a dry brush several feet thick and  the rest inore or less dry wood above.  The fire spread north and south from  its starting point aad soon jumped the  creek to start a new lire there.        This  traveled c; t   f the  valley  and   up the  J  mountain on the ?ast, causing the lo*������s  of fin*- timb������ r and cord wood.  Ou Monday the fire, after burnii.gall  night, was siill going. All of the forest  on the east side of the creek up to the  foot of the mountains, and in some  p'aceson the mountains, from Boundary Falls to the second bridge below  here was burnt. From the Boundary  Falls smelter dam up to near the first  bridge south of Anaconda the forest on  the west of the.cn ek is almost totally  destroyed. Andren and family left for  St. Louis on Saturday.  Mr. and Mrs. Geieert of Anaconda  left town Monday to reside outside the  Boundary.
