Copper Co's. smelter con struction work is being pushed. # The converter foundations are finished. Two carloads of the steel converter building have arrived at the works. O-e of these contained light girders and roofing. The ot^er was leaded with heavy ateel beams. This was brought in over th* new spur, which has just been completed. Work is ne*>r itg completion on the new clay and silica bins. The excavation is finished and work is being done on the masonry for the e- iectrie power plant. Timbers are being squared for the new power house. The steel stack for the converter ia getting well up. It U-being put together in a standing position. Of the Providence and Elk horn. On the Providence many men are at work. About a thousand tons are being shipped monthly. The shaft ia down about 190 feet. This shaft will be sunk about 100 feet more.
