Wood-Saw, Mr. Nicholas Thollof Anaconda has started up a wood yard? equiped wiih a wood-sawing michias,o.. the hi.ll above Anaconda to the south of Lind C.-eeV. This machine is mounted on a wagon, and as soon as the timber near it is cut up, can be moved to a new place, thus avoiding taking the logs t it. The furnace of the boiler is fed with branches, bark, and other scraps. It is very much quicker and cheaper than sawing by hand. . This will help out the times in Anaconda and Greenwood. At the Anaconda smelter furnace No. 2 Is shut down for repairs to a water jacket. It will be blown in in a few days. ______ The coke supply is increasing some.
