Yesterday evening being the rainless night in the past week, first the Mc.Kefijter fire works were shot off at the Keffer residence. About 20 children and their parents enjoyed the fizz. The fire works proved unusually successful. Th rockets were large two pounders that carried far up, and e x - ploding, sent down a shower of many colercd balls. The Roman candles were both plain and procession. The triumph of the evening was a huge flowerpot which sent out a shower of firey maple leaves at its base with many colered balls at the top. Between acts were bunches of ordinary Chinese fire crackers. Mr. Keffer and Mr. Gauoce were itie chief engineers. The blower for the third furnace went to the Boundary Fall smelter this niorninjf. Come and see cur new market on Copper and Greenwood Ste. P. BURNS & C Greer wood B.C. 'Phone No. 2.
