BUILT   TO   HOSPITAL
Subscribe for the Record
Although definite plans have not
yet been made, the Sisters of Providence, who operate St Paul's Catholic Hospital, on Burrard St., between
Pendrell and Comox sts., will, this
summer, erect a large annex to the
present building. The matter is in
tho hands of a building committee,;
at the head of which Is one of the
sisters of the order In Portland, and
particulars are not known In Vancouver. The annex will be modern
In every r>spect and will coBt probably about 1100,000. although it hasj
not yet been determined Just whether
the building will be ot concrete or
brick construction. The annex will
be constructed so that additions may
be built later and It Is planned to
eventually replace the whole of the
present wooden structure with a new
building. So far as can be learned,
no architect has yet been selected.

be added as soon as conditions warrant. The building, all ten stories
completed, will cost about $250,000 and
