City Engineer Fellowes will, at the
next regular meeting of the board of
works, report upon the plans and estimates of Engineer Waddell & Harrington for four bridges over ll.e G.
N. tracks li the East End, al Hastings,
I'ender, Harris and Keefer sis. The
total cost to the city will be from
$244,600 to $434,300, according to
styles selected.

Two of the plans, for Hastings nnd
Keefer sts., provide for double street
ear tracks, one with 62 ft. for roadway and 18 ft. for sidewalks. The
olher three styles allow 4ii ft. for roadways, and 12 ft. for sidewalks. The
longest bridge, 1,200 ft., Is at Hustings St., and the shortest, 777 ft., is
at I'ender. For the former the estimates are from 192,500 to $146,000,
according to the plan decided upon,
and for the latter from $41,000 to $S7.-
300. The principal difference in tho
plans Is In the relative quantities of
steel ami concrete to be used.
