2. The City of North Vancouver needs ihis company as a competitor of the company
holding the Electric Light Franchiie to assure the lowest possible rales consistent
with good service.
3. The construction of large apartment houses, with the ensuing influx of a desirable resi
dential population, is prohibited untii a gas supply is available.
4. The passage of this bylaw wili secure the laying of pipes before permanent pavements
are placed and save subsequent injury and inconvenience.
5. Under this contract North Vancouver will have the cheapest artificial gas in Canada
when it reaches a population of 50,000.
6. Under this contract Norlh Vancouver will have the most modern and efficient gas plant
of its size in Canada.
7. f.very householder will be able to dispense with the coal or wood looking rangr
during the heat of summer.
8. Gas is cheaper, quicker and more convenient lhan any other form of fuel.    Saves
time always, especially in the morning; no ashes, no dirt, no bother.
9. Pass the bylaw and have your fuel delivered through a pipe.
10. Coke will be available for many industries lhat are now limping along without it.
11. Tar will be available for road-making, assuring good residential streets at a low • u i
12. The company is formed by local men, wilh local capital, to supply an urgent local need.
