Though preceded by some doubtful
weilher, Thursday list, the day set
lar the annual Ice.cream and strawberry social ol the Ladles' Aid ol the
Presbyterian church turned out propitious, and thai ll wai 111 unqualilled
success In every way Is evidenced by
the crowd of people of all denominations who were Ihere, Ihe general good
humor that prevailed, and Ihe rapid sale
ol Ihe good things provided by Ihe
ladles for Ihe occasion.
The social was held on the spacious
lawn surrounding the residence cl Mrs.
F. V. Mcffel, which wis tastefully decerned with Hags and Chinese laments
