DESCRIPTIVE INTRODUCTION
This five-year index, Volumes 21-25 (1988-1992), to the British Columbia Historical News
continues the previous index to Volumes 11-20 (1977-1987). It is arranged in one alphabet
by Author, Title and Subject. Some "see" references are included to lead from subjects not
used to those which are used.
Book Reviews are listed alphabetically after the main index by the author of the book being
reviewed. There is also a final section which includes those books listed but not reviewed.
All Authors' surnames and Subjects are capitalized. If, however, the author's name appears
in a subject entry or a title, it is in lower case.
The citation information is as follows: 25:3 (1992): 10-13.* This is interpreted as: volume,
issue number, date, page(s). When an asterisk appears after the pagination, the article is
illustrated. There is no separate illustration listing except for those illustrations which have
appeared on the covers. These may be found under the subject: ILLUSTRATIONS, COVER.
