Poetry. 'The rape of the boot' describes an incident during Walter Moberly's exploration of the Fraser canyon. The reflections of the last of the Cariboo Road camels are given in 'Moriturus.' Both poems also appear in the author's Vignettes of Vancouver (1954), the latter poem under the title 'The last camel.'
