"(University of Washington publications in the social sciences, v. 13, no. 1, p. 1-75. January, 1942) On p. iv: By the courtesy of the German Foreign Office, a photostatic copy of the report of the experts was furnished to the Department of State in the summer of 1938, with permission to publish the text; it is that report (of eighty-five manuscript pages) which is now for the first time printed, with translation....the report dated September 30, 1872, and signed by Dr. Grimm (pp. 2-29), is followed (pp. 30-67) by the divergent opinion of Dr. Goldschmidt, of September 10, to which is appended a brief account by Dr. Grimm, dated September 26, of conferences of the experts (pp. 68-69); finally (pp. 70-73) come observations by Dr. Grimm of the date of the report, on the opinion of Dr. Goldschmidt. Professor Kiepert concurred throughout with Dr. Grimm; and the view of Dr. Grimm and Professor Kiepert were adopted by the German Emperor in his award.
